I'm glad Stanford is not hiding the problem or attempting to cover it up in some way. It's responsible and it's commendable. And they're doing what they do best: they're educating people.

Here's hoping other institutions- and not just universities, either- follow suit. Soon.

Kudos for Stanford, they are taking the high road NBOM...but it makes me shudder to think about all the other Universities that are taking the low road, like Penn. State for ex. who put the idea of bed bug bites showing up on students into "no big deal" catagorey, or NYU who also conveniently made a "no big deal" about bed bugs showing up in their dorms...Parents at these schools should be very concerned...I spoke a while back with Mr. Harold Stein, the president of Crane Pest Control, he took time out of his busy day to give me some history on his experience with bed bugs going back to the 50's...I think they are doing an exemplary job, as is Stanford..they should be used as an example of what good bed bug pest Control should be about.
