craigslist: An Open Letter to my Bedbugs
By nobugsonme on Oct 29, 2006 in bed bugs, bedbugs, humor, illinois, tales of bed bug woe, usa
This is one of the funniest and truest personal stories I’ve read about bedbugs. It was posted on craigslist by a Chicago bed bug sufferer in August 2006, and is now a “best of.” In case you haven’t yet done so, you should read it. I’d quote it, but you really do need to read the whole thing for full effect.
I have to add that bombing (as in bug bombing) is not, from what I understand, a recommended treatment method. Bombs can disperse the bedbugs to other units. And this means they can come back. But perhaps the author was using the term in a more poetic sense.

What a hoot (and a well-written one, at that). It could have been my story. It’s all our story. The details are so painful. That only adds to the dark humor.
